The Brief

Pomona's founders had a clear vision: a vibrant, Latin inspired restaurant and bar designed around connection, flavour, and energy. What they lacked was a brand to bring that vision to life. They needed a full identity that felt bold yet considered, youthful yet polished - one that could shift Gili Meno's narrative from quiet retreat to social destination, while remaining scalable as the business grew.

My Role

My role was to translate the founder's ideas into a confident, considered brand.

I led the brand from the ground up, shaping strategy, visual identity, and creative direction. This included discovery and positioning, brand storytelling, logo design, typography, colour systems, messaging, and real world applications across digital, print, and merchandise.

The Approach

I approach branding as both strategy and storytelling - uncovering meaning, defining direction, and translating ideas into cohesive, high impact creatives that brings brands to life across every touchpoint.

I started with discovery - taking time to understand the founders' values, audience, and the emotional experience they wanted guests to feel. From there, every creative decision was intentional. The identity was built around Pomona's core pillars: flavour and fire, fun and connection, and bold personality. I balanced expressive, hand drawn visuals with more structured and polished elements, ensuring the brand felt alive yet commercially viable across every touchpoint.
